Global Surgical Frontiers Conference: The Lancet Commission on Global Surgery, one year on:
The International Office is delighted to announce that this year's GSF Conference will take place on Friday 15 April 2016 at The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
The aim of the Global Surgical Frontiers Conference is to provide information and opportunities for UK-based surgeons, trainees and consultants, to address issues raised by surgeons and to identify opportunities to work overseas.
The GSF theme for 2016 will focus on The Lancet Commission on Global Surgery, one year on. The whole day will consist of a forum for presentations, poster competitions, discussions and debates on different responses to the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery 2015, drawing from current projects and future ones.
This one-day conference aims to challenge the audience of practitioners, students, retirees, and educators to consider new paradigms of how high-income countries can and should engage in global surgery over the coming decade. To find out more, please download the conference provisional program.
