Job Title: Executive Director/Chief Fundraiser

The G4 Alliance is seeking an Executive Director/Chief Fundraiser to lead organizational growth
through aggressive fundraising and to represent the organization and its work in different public
forums. The primary role of the Executive Director will be to ensure the fiscal and organizational health of the G4 Alliance, as well as supporting the implementation of our strategic plan.
Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
•Craft and implement private fundraising including major gifts
•Lead proposal writing for institutional awards
•Provide overall leadership to the G4 team of employees and contractors
•Oversee capacity building and organizational growth
•Monitor organizational performance to ensure all targets are met
•Manage relations with G4 members
•Build partnerships and identify networks/ opportunities for collaboration
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Self-starter with successful fundraising and development experience
• Experience building robust development platforms for non-profit institutions (10 years experience preferred)
• Demonstrated experience with business development, proposals, and success in building relationships and securing funding from foundations, government and private sector
• Experience running large-scale development programs
• At least five years of experience as senior officer involved in institutional development and management, potential board of director experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
•Knowledge of medicine, surgery, global health or related global health and international development field
•Experience cultivating, managing and leveraging associations of global entities
•Work experience in different countries
•Familiarity with professional standards, codes of conduct
•Experience in public advocacy and public speaking
•Strong existing network including donor agencies
•Experience with the World Health Organization and United Nations system
•Proficiency in multiple languages beyond English
Education: Advanced degree preferred in health, fundraising, international development or
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Working Environment: Changing office environments as well travel to professional events.
Individual must be flexible about working with remote and virtual networks and capable of
creating systems and discipline as the organization grows.
Travel: The position requires frequent travel within the United States, to Geneva,
Switzerland and to other countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
