The Ministry of Health Community, Development, Gender, Elderly and Children is pleased to announce the launch of the National Surgical, Obstetric and Anaesthesia Plan (NSOAP). This first ever NSOAP details a situational analysis of the current state of surgery, anaesthesia and obstetric care and lays of ambitious but attainable solutions for improving access and quality surgical, obstetric and anaesthetic care for the citizens of Tanzania by 2025. It is the result of well over a year of work and consultation with over 200 stakeholders across the country to truly reflect the priorities of those receiving, providing and managing care in Tanzania.
The Launch will be a side event to the 65th ECSA Health Ministers Meeting and is scheduled for Monday the 19th of March 2018 from 16:30-19:30 at the Hyatt Kilimanjaro, Dar Es Salaam.
